Middle / High School Exchange Programme in Singapore is an educational program by GOTRAVINDO on December 11th – 14th , 2017.
Singapore is one of developed ASEAN countries that has advanced so much for the past decade. The economic growth of Singapore is unbelieveably fast. There are many creative and innovative young individuals in Singapore who give their huge contribution to the country’s rapid advance. The young generations need to learn so many things from the country to advance their knowledge and widen their sight towards the excessive competition nowadays. To be able to take a very close look to how the country grows very fast is one way to learn. Hopefully, the young generations of Indonesia can be more creative and innovative economically in their journey towards their future.

SINGAPORE ETHNICITY EXPLORATION
Changi Airport – Merlion Park – Marina Bay Sands – Helix Bridge
The journey starts with a flight from Indonesia to Changi International Airport. Stepping out of the plane, the participants will be greeted with the distinct atmosphere and surrounding of the busy Singapore. In the airport, the committees will be waiting, ready to welcome all participants. All participants will have airport assistance and will be escorted to the hotel to have opening ceremony. After having opening ceremony and unpacking their luggage, the participants will be brought to the most iconic landmark of Singapore, Merlion Park. Merlion is not just a mere statue. It is the symbol of Singapore and the most sought after photo stop all across the country. Your visit will not be complete if you do not visit Merlion Park when you are in Singapore. Not only iconic, the Merlion statue also has a very exciting history to be learned. The participants will also be brought to explore Marina Bay Sands and examine the unique architectures. Not only Marina Bay Sands, the participants will also visit Fountain of Wealth and the majestic yet uniuqe Helix Bridge.
National University of Singapore – Bras Basah – Masjid Sultan – Bugis Street
The journey continues on the second day where the participants will start off the day visiting National University of Singapore, one of the three largest public and autonomous universities in Singapore which is ranked consistently as one of the world’s top universities, to feel the educational atmosphere of the campus learning activities. The participants are encouraged to grasp all information they can get from the campus and the students there and hopefully learning all the differences and similarities with their campuses back in Indonesia. Leaving the campus, the participants will be brought to explore the city even more by visiting Bras Basah and Masjid Sultan. To wrap up the day, the participants will be taken to examine the trading activities in the busy Bugis Street and will have edu-challenge.
CHIJ Secondary School – Sentosa Island – Chinatown
Another day, another adventure. On the third day, the participants will be taken to another school, which is CHIJ Secondary School Singapore to have discussion about education in Singapore. Afterwards, the participants will be taken to another iconic landmark of Singapore, Sentosa Island. After exploring Sentosa Island, the participants will be brought to multicultural centre of Singapore where people of various ethnicity meet and do business alongside each other, the Chinatown. To end the day, all participants will have an entrepreneurial workshop and dinner before going back to the hotel and packing their bags for tomorrow’s flight back to Indonesia.

After having breakfast, participants will have a closing ceremony in the hotel. On this last day of the adventure, the participants along with the committees will have a flight back to Indonesia, bringing a handfull of memories and new experience also knowledge that hopefully can be applied to their daily lives back in Indonesia.

Academic Partners are universities and higher education institutions, public or private that collaboration with Gotravindo. The academic content of the program is formulated by Gotravindo in collaboration with National University of Singapore and CHIJ Secondary School*
Every participant will receive an International Certification issued by Gotravindo and partner program
All selected delegates will be active in social project as a voluntary program of Gotravindo to support the Indonesian future development. Please be informed the social project name is SEMANGAT MEMBANGUN NEGERI.
Requirements for Middle/Highschool Student Exchange Program :
– Middle or HighSchool Student aged between 13 – 17 years old
– Physically and Mentally Healthy
– Good communication skill and knowledge
– Having good personality and attitude
– Deal to real contribution in World Education
– Able to pay program FEE
The participation fee for the ISS exchange Program is $500 and includes :
* All selected delegates can choose the location of facility departure at CGK (Soekarno-Hatta) and Kualanamu (Medan) airports. If there are number of participants> 10 in one city outside the Airport facility, then it can be done according to the Airport of choice of participants with the financing of the standard airline in the 2 airports that have been provided. The excess costs are borne by the participants.
